Baja California Sur Takes it on the Nose from Hurricane Henriette

09AM MDT 09/04/07 Henriette has achieved Category 1 Hurricane status and is delivering heavy rain and winds to Cabo San Lucas. Henriette is preparing to cut a swath across Baja California Sur and up the Sea of Cortez, affecting a majority of the population of Baja Sur. Hurricane Henriette is currently located near 22.2N 109.4W about 56 miles southeast of Cabo San Lucas and 139 miles southeast of La Paz. Movement is 335° at 09kts. Central barometric pressure is estimated at 972Mb and winds are 75kts with gusts to 90kts.Hurricane fore winds extend out 25 miles and Tropical Storm force winds extend out 140 miles. The current forecast calls for Henriette to make landfall directly on Cabo San Lucas and move directly north passing through La Paz and into the Sea of Cortez. AT 9AM MDT...
