Baja California Weather Outlook

   Weather  in Baja California

Surface Chart / Satellite IR

10AM MDT 09/11/07  We have a new SST underlay today and the 26°C thermo cline has migrated north to near it's maximum, near Turtle Bay on the Pacific side. Our weather map is quiet today, with just two tropical waves (orange arrows) on our map. The western wave is stimulating some thunderstorms (green arrow) and has some potential for development, but is too far west already to concern Baja. A tropical Low (yellow arrow) is dissipating and is not likely to be stimulated by the eastern most wave. Baja Sur will have partly cloudy skies and potential for afternoon thunderstorms. We have already had some light drizzle in La Paz this morning. The deserts, just one week after Henriette is already turning very green!
