A Hurricane Warning has issued for parts of Baja California Sur. Looks like we're about to get some weather folks! The forecast track of Tropical Storm Henriette has shifted slightly to the north with the last forecast. But it looks like the die has been cast, and we're in for a little inclement weather here in Baja Sur. Henriette remains a Tropical Storm at this time but forecasters appear certain the system will strengthen to a Category 1 Hurricane before making landfall near Magdalena Bay. This shift in track does not mean that more southern portions of Baja are out of the woods. The most powerful quadrant of the hurricane is that in the NE, more rain will be found in the southeast quadrant. The NE quadrant will rake much of the Pacific coast before Henriette turns inland.
