Weather in Baja California - September 13, 2007

Weather  in Baja California – September 13, 2007

Surface Chart / Satellite IR

12PM MDT 09/13/07  There is a thermal Low over the Sea of Cortez (blue arrow) that may sweep thunderstorms from the mainland west this evening of parts of Baja Sur. There is another thermal Low over mainland Mexico (yellow arrow) we have one Tropical Wave on our map (orange arrow) that is stimulating some thunderstorms (magenta arrow) that has some potential for development. Another Low (green arrow) has some potential for development, but both systems pose little threat to Baja Sur. The area to watch is near the southern coast of mainland Mexico (red arrow) This is where many of our later season storms are formed. A tropical wave will move through this area in the next 48-72hrs. We ill be keeping an eye on this area of disturbed weather.
