Baja California Weather - Sunny & Coastal Fog

   Weather  in Baja California

Surface Chart / Satellite IR

09AM MST 11/19/07 Happy Revolution Day in Mexico, Dia de la Revolution celebrates the began with the call to arms made on November 20, 1910 by Francisco I. Madero. Government offices, banks and many businesses will be closed today. A High (blue arrow) over the mainland is keeping most of northern Mexico, including Baja, clear and dry. Baja Sur will be sunny with highs in the low 80°s while Baja California will have coastal fog which will stretch south into the central valley and San Ignacio. There is a tropical wave on our map (orange arrow) which will have a very slight chance of stimulating thunderstorms, but with 11 days left in the Eastern Pacific Hurricane season, cyclonic formation is unlikely and affects on Baja are improbable. Up north a weak High (yellow arrow) is moving east from the 4 Corners area and a series of Lows (magenta arrow) will move SE bringing snow to the 4 corners area and perhaps some light SW winds to Baja in the next 72hrs. Winds are currently forecast to be light, under 15kts throughout the Sea from the NW to WNW through the period. On the Pacific side winds may top 15kts from the NNW. The crossing should be light with seas under 3'.
