Baja Sur may get Tropical Rain while Baja Sur may get Winter Rain.

   Weather  in Baja California

Surface Chart / Satellite IR

10AM MST 11/14/07 The Baja peninsula has busy weather to the north and south of us, but for most of Baja it will be a overcast fall day. A Trof extends from the Sea of Cortez to a High (magenta arrows) near the CA/AZ border. It is anchoring a stationary front (lt blue arrow) that is shifting SE bound Highs (blue arrow) to a more easterly course. This is all being pushed east by a winter storm Low (red arrow) which should keep the stronger NW winds limited to the upper Sea, Winds are forecast to be light, from the NW in the Sea, but yesterday the forecast called for less than 10kts and la Paz experienced +15kt northers. There is a stationary High over central Mexico (blue arrow) and a late season tropical wave (orange arrow) moving into our basin, but it will find little tropical moisture to stimulate.

A Low (yellow arrow) off the Baja Sur coast will pump tropical moisture into Baja Sur and forecasts call for a chance of afternoon thunderstorms
