Baja California Weather Outlook

   Weather  in Baja California

Surface Chart / Satellite IR

10AM MDT 09/14/07  This weekend is Dia de la Independencia (Sept 16) and many businesses, federal and state offices and banks will be on different schedules from mid day today until Tuesday. Parades, dances and other fiesta events will be held throughout the weekend. This is one of Mexico's grandest holidays. Baja will have clear skies today top to bottom Down south we have a Low that is dissipating and some of the stray clouds may float over Baja Sur this afternoon. There are two tropical waves on our map (orange arrows) the western most is stimulating an area of thunderstorms and has some potential for development, but it is too far south and west to be of much concern to us. The other wave is stimulating an area of thunderstorms south of Guatemala. The NHC gives this a marginal chance of development, but we will be keeping an eye on it through the weekend.
