Tropical Storm Ivo a Fizz West of Baja California Sur

   Weather  in Baja California

Surface Chart / Satellite IR

09PM MDT 09/22/07 Tropical Storm Ivo (red arrow) continues to lose intensity as it moves closer to the Baja Sur Pacific coast. Now just 160 miles WSW of Cabo San Lucas, the storm is expected to make landfall near Todos Santos late Sunday and move across the peninsula during the day Monday. It is unclear whether the storm will maintain tropical cyclone status or be just a tropical depression when making landfall. A Low (blue arrow) off California as helped to guide Ivo to the NE. We have one tropical wave (orange arrow) on the map, but little likelihood of additional cyclonic development.
