Baja California Weather Outlook

   Weather  in Baja California

Surface Chart / Satellite IR

09AM MDT 09/17/07  A beautiful late summer day for all of the Baja peninsula today. There will be a slight chance of afternoon thunderstorms in the south. In the ITCZ we have two tropical waves (orange arrows) the western most (yellow arrow) has unorganized thunderstorms and is not expected to develop. The more eastern wave (magenta arrow) is sowing increasing organization and environmental conditions are positive for further development as this system moves WNW. In about 36hrs this system will pass beyond the threat window to Baja Sur.
